Website is very misleading. When I called to arrange a 7kg mixed ironing bundle I was told I had to itemise it item by item. Or she could do a mixed bundle for £8. 99 per kg (website says £5. 25) but EXCLUDING blouses, bedding or dresses ( so not very mixed ! ). If the website was accurate I wouldn’t have wasted time contacting this company.

We had nine heavy drapes that needed ironing. We found The Empress of Smooth online, read the reviews and called. Delighted we did. The drapes were picked up and delivered back at the scheduled times, and the work was superb -- drapes beautifully ironed and looking like new. It was also a pleasure to do business with Joan. Highly recommended.

Excellent service, collected and delivered to my flat at exactly the agreed time. My bed linen is spotless and completely smooth! I would highly recommend. Removed a big chunk of post visitor and Christmas stress.

Excellent service. I rang Joan when my washing machine broke. Between 2 small children and work we have a lot of laundry and very little time. Joan picked up the washing and had it washed and folded in just over a day and picked and dropped off in the evening/early morning which was so convenient. The laundry was perfect and she was was professional and punctual. Highly recommended.

I needed my laundry done at short notice before I left London. Joan collected from The Mondrian that night and got back to me the next day. She was exceptionally friendly, punctual and brilliant communication. Highly recommended - will use again!

We were on a 16 day vacation and needed to have laundry done at the mid-point. One call to Joan and had convenient pickup and drop off times arranged. She picked up and delivered right to our hotel! Everything was fresh, nicely folded and packaged in plastic bags. It was so nice to have fresh laundry without having to spend two hours in a laundromat during our vacation. Thank you!

We were in London for 3 nights as part of a 2 week vacation to France, England and Scotland. Finding ourselves in need of getting some laundry done we started the Google search process for laundry services in Southwark and found details regarding The Empress of Smooth. Please note, there is a 5kg minimum weight so you should aim to meet it to get the best bang for your buck. Joan was very accommodating with the timing of the drop off and pick up that worked for our schedule. It was lovely to have clean, nicely folded clothes to take with us on the rest of our trip!

Due to an injury I found myself unable to iron. Found this service and reviews were good so used. The other reviews are true. A great service - we sent t-shirts, polo shirts and a couple of shirts; good price and prompt service. Will definitely used again.

It's not often I review a service but I just had to this time. I was recently in London staying at an upscale hotel for 2 weeks. My partner and I don't particularly like to use hotel's laundry service as they charge way too much for what it's worth. Joan came to our hotel to pick up all our laundry and returned it the next day all washed and ironed. Exceptional value for money and would actually encourage her to charge more for such a premium service. Great value and wonderful, courteous and efficient service. 5 stars!

I have found this service to be excellent. Joan comes to your house collects your washing and brings it back immaculately ironed. She is diligent and polite and takes huge pride in her work. I would highly recommend her.

Joan from the Empress of Smooth did some ironing for me this week to a very high standard. She was very polite, and came to my flat to collect it. My ironing was returned later that very same day. I thoroughly recommend her services - she is very flexible and good value for money.

I have been using Joan for my ironing needs for some months now after being let down by a number of companies I had tried. Joan's work is excellent and she is super reliable compared to the other companies I have tried. She communicates by txt on collection and delivery so you know when she is coming to collect and delivering back.
